Here they are! Echo-181! My pride & joy is in there somewhere. He could be the very first guy in line, I couldn't tell, they all look alike! LOL
We haven't received any letters yet but the first blog was posted. Thank you to the TraCen for this great way to be able to follow our kids. We know they don't have the time to write so it's nice to get this little glimpse into their world.
Cape May is cold & covered with snow but here in Texas it is almost balmy with upper 70's during the day. I'm pretty sure the recruits would love a 70 degree day at this point.
More to come, I'm sure!

Colin is at Cape May right now training to become a Coastie. I am so proud of him. I didn't think it would be so hard to let him go... but watching him get one that bus was a tough moment. He hasn't called or written yet but I'm sure he will when he is able.

Scott & I have realized our house is quite large now that it is just the 2 of us. But we love our house and the extra space is really nice. We still have the traveling zoo to share all the space with. Frankie & Fletcher are getting bigger. Gus was misrepresented to us as a dog, he is a pony. At 8 months old he is already just shy of 80lbs and all muscle at that. Luckily as big as he is, he is a lab... all brawn, no brains and tons of love!

Well I need to go out and take some more pictures around Texas. I'll post them as I take them.

First One

Hi everyone, anyone... This is my first attempt at blogging. I figure I'll start with a little history. I am a 42 year old woman, I was married once to a man in the USCG and we lived in a few different places. I am currently with my boyfriend, Scott, of 13 years. We too have lived in a few places. Right now we are in Blue Mound, Texas. We both really like it here.

I have one son, Colin he is 19. In February he will turn 20 and a week later he will be joining the USCG. I am very proud of him. My other 2 boys are Heath & Layne, 23 & 21 respectively. They are Scott's sons and I call them my pseudo step-sons since Scott & I aren't married. They are good boys too with girlfriends of their own. Heath & Kristina and Layne & Jordan. They all live in Anchorage, Alaska. I dont' get to see them very often but they are always in my thoughts.

We have 3 dogs, Hilde a Belgian malinois 2 years old, Gabby a black Lab 10 months old and Gus a yellow lab 6 months old. We also have 3 cats, Scooby an all black girl almost 3 years old and the two newest editions Frankie & Fletcher! The F&F boys are only 4 months old, Frankie is a very pretty siamese and Fletcher is a pretty orange tabby.
